Login into NetCollector if you don't have/forgot the password for the web UI
Solution
  • Go to the installation directory and stop NetCollector services.
  • Then go to the \18xxxxxx\webServer\jakarta-tomcat\webapps\aam\WEB-INF\classes\lib\xml\res and open the aam-users.res file in notepad.
  •  Change the password field from whatever it is inside the quotes to any plaintext password.
  • Login into NetCollector using this password and then you can change it to any appropriate password.
  • The password, once saved will be rehashed.
  • Restart NetCollector services.
