How to Share Case Details with other people in your company or Linked accounts

Issue

When you create a case on the support site, the case details are only visible to you, unless you take specific actions to enable case information sharing with others. 

Solution

To Share Details of a new case with someone else:

  1. Log into Riverbed Support.
  2. Navigate to Submit a Case Online 
  3. Enter the name of the person you would like to share case details with in the Share Case Details field.  
  4. Note: The contact must be linked to your account.  For more information on account linking, please see KB article S14361
  5. If you would like to share case details of an existing (not new) case please submit this request to the Riverbed contact that is handling your case.

To Share Details of all cases created for your account, regardless of who creates the case:

  1. Contacts that are designated as a Primary Support Contact will have visibility on the Riverbed support site to all cases created on your account, and will receive all case notifications.
  2. Please create a case on the Riverbed support site if you would like to be designated as Primary Support Contact.   Please include the text "Please designate me as Primary Support Contact for my company" in the Comments section of your case.
  3. Please note this change only impact cases created after the change to Primary Support Contact is made.
