How to troubleshoot errors on NetAuditor/NetPlanner regarding opgalaxy7.vr missing?

Solution

To alleviate issues where upon startup the error thrown by software mentions opgalaxy7.vr, please follow the instructions below

  1. Close all OPNET applications.
  • For Linux, start the OPNET solution from the command line and type:

      netauditor –new_env_db

  • For Windows, Launch the NetAuditor Service Console, Click Start ⇒ All Programs ⇒ Riverbed SteelCentral NetAuditor 18.0 ⇒ NetAuditor 18.0 Service Console, and then on the command prompt type:

      netauditor –new_env_db

  • Similarly, for NetPlanner use the following command:

      netplanner –new_env_db
