Firefox connection to Profiler fails with this error: sec_error_ca_cert_invalid

Issue

Using Firefox 31.0 to connect to the web UI of a Profiler fails with this error:

sec_error_ca_cert_invalid

Solution

One workaround is to use a different browser.
 
This is a workaround to change the Firefox settings:
Toggle security.use_mozillapkix_verification and it will return to previous behavior.
 
In Firefox address bar type:

about:config

Hit the enter key.

Firefox will display a warning:

This might void your warranty!

Click to continue.

Search for the string:

security.use_mozillapkix_verificatio

Double clicking “true” will toggle it to “false”. 

Enter the address of the Profiler in the address bar and the web UI should work.  There is no need to restart the browser.
