Issue

The Shark shows up as UNLICENSED, This is due to the fact that Turbocap drivers are not initialized. Turbocap drivers are detected and initialized only when the SFP’s are inserted firmly and properly.

Solution

When installing NIC card in Shark, The Shark might show up as UNLICENSED, This is due to the fact that Turbocap drivers are not initialized. Turbocap drivers are detected and initialized only when the SFP’s are inserted firmly and properly.

Also verify  that the SFP(s) was(were) inserted in the right way and not upside-down. It will latch only if it’s inserted in the right way.

Please make sure you use the SFP(s) send by Riverbed.

NOTE : - Physical NetShark Appliances comes with factory installed License which is based on turbocap card being present and recognised on the device

There is no license key required as in other Steelcentral devices
