When using OPNET Modeler 17.1 PL1 or later, why do I get a DES error (op_win_stdio_patch.obj : fatal error LNK1103: debugging information corrupt; recompile module) when running a simulation on a machine with MSVS 2005 Pro SP1?

Solution

This problem occurs because of a compatibility issue between Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2008 versions. To fix this issue, install the required patches (VC2008 32-bit and/or VC2008 64-bit):http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949009/
