Issue

I have written parallel safe code and configured the process models to run with a parallel kernel, but I still don't see a significant second speed-up. What could be the reason?

Solution

Along with recommendations from FAQs-1344,1291 and 722, if you have written parallel code that is working at the module level, you might need to switch the preference 'parallel_sim.serialization_level' to 'module' instead of 'node'. This should help you get a speed-up.

Environment

DES Kernel->Process Modeling/Coding,DES Kernel->Scalability
