Issue

I am running a simulation sequence that includes multiple simulation runs; how can I save the results in separate files, and how can I view those files?

Solution

If you run a series of simulations and want to save the results for each, turn on the Save vector file for each run in set checkbox in the Object Attributes tab. This will generate files named generate output vector (.ov) files named <project>-<scenario>-1, -2, -3, etc.For more information about this approach, see the Modeling Concepts manual, chapter Simulation Design, section Simulation Sequences > Executing Simulations > Simulation Sequences. Then use the Analysis Tool (Results->View Results (Advanced)) to examine the statistics across each vector file. To view the statistics, select Panels->Create Vector Panel then navigate to the various <project>-<scenario>-<number> files. You can compare results across the files by selecting the same statistic from the different file hierarchies and changing the Stacked Statistics popup menu to read Overlaid Statistics. Then click Show. The Analysis Tool is documented in the Editor Reference manual.
