How can I control the number of sample points used in calculation by TMM for path loss graphs and in discrete event simulation?

Solution

OPNET ships with three propagation models:models/std/tmm/tmm_longley_rice.ex.cmodels/std/tmm/tmm_freespace.ex.cmodels/std/tmm/tmm_tirem.ex.cFor freespace and Longley Rice, the current resolution is 100 evenly-spaced sample points between the transmitter and receiver. To change this, you can search for calls to the function tmm_elev_profile_get () and change the last parameter to TMMC_RESOLUTION_BEST. Then recompile and rebuild the propagation model by following the instructions in the TMM documentation, chapter Using the TMM module, section Creating your own propagation model. For the TIREM model, there is a TMM propagation parameter that you can change easily in the GUI to select the desired number of sample points. Entering a value of 0 will select the RESOLUTION_BEST mode. You can see this parameter by choosing Terrain > Edit Propagation Parameters.
