Issue

How can I use the TPAL API when writing my own application model?

Solution

Please look at the OPNETWORK _2002_ session 1509 which explains the TPAL API and contains labs and working models which demonstrate how to interface an application with TPAL.HOWEVER, the recommended API for application writing, if you are using version 10.0 or higher, is to use the Phase API. Look at OPNETWORK _2003_ session 1509 which has labs and working models which demonstrate how to write application models using the Phase API.Finally, note that if you are using version 11.0 or higher, and your application runs strictly over TCP, the recommended way to write an Application model is to use the Transaction (ACE) Whiteboard - which is a GUI/scripting based editor designed specifically for writing Application models.Note: Since our website only provides the OPNETWORK sessions from the _latest_ year, you will need to contact Technical Support to get a copy of sessions from previous years.
