I am using aysmmetric antenna patterns. How do I know what is the exact direction that the antenna is pointing to in the simulation?

Solution

The five attributes which govern the position of the antenna provide amechanism for aiming one point of the antenna at a specific target. However, they leave one angle of rotation in the antenna's attitude unspecified. The antenna couldbe rotated arbitrarily about the axis of pointing, and still conform to a set ofassignments for the five pointing attributes. This looseness in the specification maybe relevant for antennas with side lobes that are asymmetric about the pointingaxis, since their pointing direction remains ambiguous. In such cases, the modeldesigner may wish to augment the specification of the antenna's direction byappending additional attributes to the antenna object, and creating new radiopipeline stages which make use of their values. Refer to CommunicationMechanisms in this manual for details on the radio Transceiver Pipeline.=========================================================See Modeling Concepts->Node Domain->Antenna Modules section in the online documentation.
