Issue

Why does my simulation try to compile model files even when I do not have the force-compile option set to TRUE?

Solution

OPNET automatically checks the timestamp on all source files (*.ex.c, *.ps.c files) that are used by the simulation and if any source file is newer than the corresponding object file (.o file) then it will recompile the source file to generate a new .o file. Further, if the check_newer_process_models environment preference is set to TRUE, then in addition to checking the .c files, OPNET will also compare the process model (.pr.m) files against the corresponding .o files.

Environment

Compiling/Linking
