How can I save the trace info output data in a file?  How can I export my results from the OPNET panel to an ASCII form or to a spreadsheet?

Solution

In OPNET 6.0.L and later, by right clicking on an analysis panel. You can select Export all graph data to spreadsheet from the pop-up menu.

  • If you are using OPNET 5.0.J or 5.1.D, you can select the text you are interested in and copy it to clipboard by clicking <control>+<c>.  Open a new document in the text editor of your choice and paste the text there.  Save the file.
  • If you are using OPNET 4.0.A or earlier, you can write the contents of any edit pad (such as Trace Data) to file by hitting <control>+<w>.  A small dialog box will pop up and prompt you for a filename.  Enter a filename with a full path, such as C:\TEMP\foo.txt.
Environment

DES Kernel , Statistics and Reports, OPNET Modeling and Simulation, OPNET Modeler
