Issue

You want to verify that email alerts sent by the SteelHead will be received by the intented recipient.

Solution

First verify that the recipient is configured.

amnesiac > show email

Mail hub:
Mail hub port:  25
Domain:         example.com
 
Event emails
  Enabled: yes
  example@riverbed.com
 
Failure emails
  Enabled: yes
  example@riverbed.com
 
Autosupport emails
  Enabled: yes
  Recipient:
    autosupport@eng.riverbed.com
  Mail hub:
    eng.riverbed.com 

Run the commands below to have the SteelHead send a test email.

amnesiac > enable
amnesiac # configure terminal
amnesiac (config) # email send-test
