Security Finder

You can use the Security Finder to search for security issues and their impact on Riverbed products. This page is continuously updated, displaying the most current public security issues first. The search box can be used to look up records by specific CVE numbers or relevant search word, e.g. Apache, 8.5.0, Workaround. For additional search tips, refer to article S16165. Security issues listed here are categorized into three groups: fixed, workaround recommended and not applicable.

CVE-2016-4470, CVE-2016-5829: Scientific Linux Security Updates. (Bug #270249)

Details:
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's keyring handling code, where in key_reject_and_link() an uninitialized
variable would eventually lead to arbitrary free address which could allow an attacker to use a use-after-free style attack.(CVE-2016-4470, Important)

A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel's hiddev driver. This flaw could allow a local attacker to corrupt kernel memory, possible privilege escalation or crashing
the system. (CVE-2016-5829, Moderate)

Fix:
The Scientific Linux Kernel was updated to version 2.6.32-642.6.1 in this release of SteelCentral AppResponse 11.0.0
