Security Finder

You can use the Security Finder to search for security issues and their impact on Riverbed products. This page is continuously updated, displaying the most current public security issues first. The search box can be used to look up records by specific CVE numbers or relevant search word, e.g. Apache, 8.5.0, Workaround. For additional search tips, refer to article S16165. Security issues listed here are categorized into three groups: fixed, workaround recommended and not applicable.

CVE-2012-2686 OpenSSL DoS due to improper handling of CBC ciphersuites in TLS 1.1/1.2 on AES-NI supported platforms (Bug #226616)

CVE-2012-2686: crypto/evp/e_aes_cbc_hmac_sha1.c in the AES-NI functionality in the TLS 1.1 and 1.2 implementations in OpenSSL 1.0.1 before 1.0.1d allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via crafted CBC data.

Not Applicable:

Several older versions of RiOS did not support TLS 1.1/1.2 and are not impacted by this vulnerability. Please take appropriate actions based on your version of RiOS. However, it is recommended that version 8.5 and higher for SteelHead & SteelCentral Controller for SteelHead and, version 4.5 and higher for SteelHead Interceptor & SteelCentral Controller for SteelHead Mobile, be used. 

Applies To:

All shipping software versions of SteelHead version 8.5 or higher, SteelHead Interceptor version 4.5 or higher, SteelCentral Controller for SteelHead version 8.5 or higher, SteelCentral Controller for SteelHead Mobile version 4.5 or higher.
