Security Finder

You can use the Security Finder to search for security issues and their impact on Riverbed products. This page is continuously updated, displaying the most current public security issues first. The search box can be used to look up records by specific CVE numbers or relevant search word, e.g. Apache, 8.5.0, Workaround. For additional search tips, refer to article S16165. Security issues listed here are categorized into three groups: fixed, workaround recommended and not applicable.

For general security topics, security best practices and other security related topics, try performing a general search.

Apache 2.2 and 2.4 Denial of Service Security updates (Bug #195020)

Details:

CVE-2014-0117: mod_proxy: DoS attack against a reverse proxy via a crafted HTTP Connection header.

CVE-2014-0118: mod_deflate: DoS via highly compressed crafted request message body.

CVE-2014-0231: mod_cgid: DoS against CGI script due to lack to timeout.

CVE-2014-0226: mod_status: Heap overflow denial of service attack. 

Note that RiOS is not impacted by CVE-2014-0226 as it does not include the affected mod_status module.

Fix:

Upgraded Apache on RiOS 8.0 and higher, to fix multiple Denial of Service issues.

Recommendation:

Upgrade to patched version if applicable
