Go to the dashboard and locate the panel you want to modify.
Click the ⚙️ gear icon on the top-right corner of the panel (see screenshot below).
In the Dashboard Panel Settings window, scroll down to Time Aggregation Numerical Rule.
From the dropdown menu, choose one of the following options:
Last Value – Displays the most recent metric value.
Average – Shows the average value for the selected time range.
Maximum – Displays the highest recorded value.
Minimum – Displays the lowest recorded value.
Sum – Shows the total of all metric values in the selected range.
Status Violation Count – Counts the number of violations.
Violation Percentage – Shows violation percentage across values.
Valid Values Violation Percentage – Shows violation percentage for valid values only.
Automatic – Lets the system decide the most appropriate aggregation.
Click OK to apply the changes.
The panel will refresh and display the metric values using the new aggregation method.
Sum – Useful for total bandwidth or traffic calculations.
Maximum – Helpful for identifying peak throughput or usage spikes.
Average – Best for observing overall trends and baselines.
With this flexibility, you can tailor dashboards in Riverbed Portal to highlight the data most relevant to your troubleshooting, reporting, or capacity planning needs.
